Finally a cake that didn't take more than a day to make!
Oh no! Mr. Alligator has eaten the 4 candle!! What will we do?
The kids didn't appreciate this part as much as I hoped so maybe the adults will. The cake was two-layered so I decided to put a layer of dark pink frosting between the two to look like the alligator was bleeding when you cut into it (Think Steel Magnolias). I thought it was hysterical.
Oh phew, mom brought extra candles to blow out!

With our upcoming Disney trip I thought it would be a good idea to have Ben's birthday party early! So we had it on the 6th when his actual bday is the 23rd. I think this was the most fun out of birthday parties we've thrown. It was a good mix of kids and a lot of space and the teacher kept them going...I guess Seth's 2nd birthday was lots of fun too but that was in my house and more stressful (not to mention the 5 cake circus extravaganza - see Sept for pics) so much less to worry about this time around. Two down, one more birthday boy to go for the year! Then I'm DONE, DONE, DONE!!!
